Note that there is a data-break in the figures from 2004 to 2007. The data-break is due to the fact that ownership in the earlier studies were exclusively determined by whether vehicles were registered to a social security number or to a company registration number. Most motor vehicles, both in the past and in the present are primarily registered to a social security numbers. But now it is possible to associate a business branch to the CPR-registered vehicles. which in reality primarily is used commercially. The revised methodology has resulted in a data break - but gives a more correct review of the motor vehicle used by private households and businesses.
