National Institution for Transforming India-NITI Aayog

The National Institution for Transforming India, also called NITI Aayog, was formed via a resolution of the Union Cabinet on January 1, 2015. NITI Aayog is the premier policy ‘Think Tank’ of the Government of India, providing both directional and policy inputs. While designing strategic and long term policies and programmes for the Government of India, NITI Aayog also provides relevant technical advice to the Centre and States.

      Title: Space for Anganwadi Centers (AWCs), provision of Supplementary Nutrition and availability of Drinking Water (Quick Evaluation Study)   Description: Anganwadi centre provides basic health care in Indian villages. It is a part of the Indian public health-care system. Basic health-care activities include contraceptive counseling and supply, nutrition education and supplementation, as well as pre-school activities. Data contains the information about the availability of space, supplementary nutrition and drinking water for the children of the AWCs of the selected States. The information on the visits of the Doctors, availability of Medicines, Mothers’ counselling and Intervention for the malnutrition have also been collected and indicate vide.
