National Accounts are the numerical, synthetic representation of the economic activity of a country during a given period, usually one year. The compilation of accounts follows three main phases: source processing, pre-arbitration, work on local stations and synthesis. At the end of the synthesis work we obtain two tables that are the Table Ressources Emploi (TRE) and the Table of Integrated Economic Accounts (TCEI). From the TAR we have the GDP according to the three perspectives (production, expenditure and income). From the GDP series emerge the country's economic growth rates.

Le produit intérieur brut (PIB) est l’un des agrégats majeurs des comptes nationaux. En tant qu'indicateur économique principal de mesure de la production économique réalisée à l’intérieur d'un pays donné, Le PIB vise à quantifier pour un pays et une année donnés la valeur totale de la « production de richesse » effectuée par les agents économiques résidents à l’intérieur de ce territoire (ménages, entreprises, administrations publiques). Le PIB reflète donc l’activité économique interne d’un pays et la variation du PIB d’une période à l'autre est censée mesurer son taux de croissance économique.
