Data cited at: BlackRock ETP (or exchange traded products) are a type of security that trades intra-day on an exchange. The value for ETPs is derived from other investment instruments such as a commodity, a currency, a share price, or an interest rate. ETPs include exchange-traded vehicles (ETVs), exchange-traded funds (ETFs), exchange-traded notes (ETNs) and certificates. BlackRock has collected the data for this report from multiple sources, including provider websites, fund prospectuses, provider press releases, provider surveys, Bloomberg, the National Stock Exchange, Strategic Insight Simfund, and Wind. Flows are derived using daily net asset values and shares outstanding using the most recent data that can be captured at month-end. For products with cross-listings, net flows and assets are attributed to the primary listings. Assets are derived using shares outstanding and prices at the end of each month (or the closest date available). Where price is not available, an approximation is used. Product level information is aggregated by provider, asset class, exposure, and listing region to produce the various analyses in the report
