The National Bank of Angola, as central bank and issuer, has as main functions to ensure the preservation of the value of the national currency and participate in the definition of monetary, financial and exchange rate policies. The National Bank of Angola is responsible for the execution, monitoring and control of monetary, exchange and credit policies, the management of the payment system and administration of the circulating medium within the scope of the country's economic policy.
