  • High food expenditure countries include Thailand, Italy, New Zealand, Norway, Australia, and Israel, ranging anywhere from a fraction to as much as 37 percent above US rates (in US dollars per capita).
  • Lower food expenditure countries include Kuwait, Ireland, Russia, Turkey, Vietnam, Pakistan, and India, with Uzbekistan coming in as the lowest spender.
