With more than 2 million SDCC tickets/badges sold over the years, what started as “San Diego’s Golden State Comic-Minicon”, a one-day convention in the basement of the U.S. Grant Hotel on March 21, 1970, has since grown to an important showcase for comic art, film, and science fiction.
Comic-Con International: San Diego returns to the San Diego Convention Center in 2017, beginning with Preview Night on Wednesday, July 19, and running Thursday, July 20 through Sunday, July 23. 2017 marks the 48th year for the show, making it the country’s longest continuously-run comics and popular arts convention.

July 9, 2012 Did you know of the James Bond movies - "Quantum of Solace" released in 2008 made the biggest Box office numbers at $168.37 Mn, but when adjusted for tickets inflation "Thunderball" from 1965 is still at number one with $592.42 Mn - almost 3 times higher. Will any of the Bond movies be ever able to break the record. Also Bond movies are released in almost 3 times more theaters now as compared to in 1983.
